Built because the problem was obvious

Every year, tens of thousands of UK healthcare professionals leave for placements abroad. And every year, they land in Sydney, Singapore or Dubai and discover that their UK data plan stops working outside Europe. We built SimScrubs to fix that.

Why SimScrubs exists

The problem nobody was solving

UK healthcare professionals are among the most internationally mobile workforces in the world. Tens of thousands leave every year for placements in Australia, the Middle East, North America and beyond. They are organised, community-driven and they talk to each other constantly in Facebook groups, on TikTok and in ward WhatsApp chats.

Yet not a single eSIM product was designed specifically for them. Every eSIM on the market was built for tourists. Nobody had built a monthly subscription eSIM for the healthcare professional heading to Sydney or Singapore for six months.
